This notice is being sent to each member of Seaside Village to garner interest from members to serve your community by volunteering on one of the many association committees. As you may already be aware, your community Board Members are volunteers. They serve on the Board and on Committee’s as well and are in need of additional volunteers to help gather information and provide recommendations in their decision-making processes.
Committee Members serve one year, and new committees are appointed after the annual election each year. Seaside Village is currently at this point again and would like to invite members to send in an email or written letter as to what committee you would be interested in volunteering for and a brief paragraph as to any experience you may have personally or professionally, or just with a desire to help out your community.
Seaside Village Currently has the following committees in place:
Social Committee – responsible for organizing social events for the community. Meets when activities are being planned. Reports to the Board at monthly meetings when applicable.
Landscape Committee – responsible for checking maintenance areas and attending a landscape walk for one hour usually on the first Monday monthly at 9am. Provides recommendations to the Board for replanting, irrigation repairs, tree maintenance and other landscaping issues which may arise.
Finance Committee – responsible for reviewing association finances, budgets and audits and providing financial recommendations for Board consideration at meetings. Meets monthly.
Facilities Committee – responsible for reviewing maintenance issues and providing repair recommendations to the Board. Additionally, to oversee the architectural application review process.
The following Ad-Hoc (temporary until project completed) committees will continue in 2023:
Continuity Committee – The primary purpose of the Continuity Committee is to assist the Board of Directors in the administration of the Association website, communication with the Membership (electronic versus U.S. Mail) and development of policies, procedures, practices and guidelines to improve continuity of the Board’s administrative responsibilities.
Rules Committee – responsible for updating rules & regulations.
